The Daily Recommendation

A TRICK TO STOP THE CHAFING OF SHOES There are many rituals involved in the ownership of a new pair of shoes, such as the important first polish and any waterproofing measures that have been undertaken. Added to these should be an old wives tale involving a metal spoon and some soap. To prevent new shoe leather from chafing, simply rub the back of a metal spoon on some dry soap, then use this spoon to rub the inside edge of the leather around the heel and ankle. On the picture above, this trusted softening trick is being applied to a brogue boot by GRENSON.
